Wander Wild structures its progression around tactical battles in which you build card combinations suited to your situation. First, you choose how to use the available cards to create a coherent strategy. Then, you must monitor status effects, as they can change the outcome of a battle and force you to rethink your plan. Enemies and circumstances cannot always be overcome with the same sequence of actions: a combination that works in one battle may become risky in the next. Otherwise, you risk losing resources and slowing your progress. The game therefore asks you to anticipate, adjust your priorities, and decide when to take a calculated risk. The roguelite structure lets you gradually develop a playstyle of your own. After battles, you upgrade your character and your camp while using a relic system that adds new possibilities to your choices. You can steer your progression toward the cards that best complement your habits, or change your approach according to the opportunities unlocked during the run. Setbacks come as much from difficult battles as from poorly suited earlier decisions, since your preparation influences the options offered later. Each attempt therefore serves to test a different build, understand the available synergies, and prepare more effectively for the next expedition. Have fun!
