Syntagma
Syntagma is a platform-based adventure game in which you must solve puzzles while respecting strict movement rules to retrieve five elemental crystals. Its appeal lies in the tactical precision of every step, the optimization of your trajectories and the understanding of the constraints that govern access to the abandoned temples scattered across the map. The core of the gameplay rests on sequences of active platforms: you must walk in the correct order, collect all the keys placed on them, then open a chest that contains the coveted crystal. You can only move in a straight line, left or right, never backward or diagonally, which turns every movement into a logical problem to solve. As soon as you begin to move, defense mechanisms engage and release traps that must be avoided by timing your jumps correctly. You have several means to make the hero leap, such as triggering an in-place jump to evade an approaching obstacle, which adds a timing dimension to the platform sequences. Two difficulty levels, accessible from the main menu, modify the demand of the courses, and the automatic transition from Level 0 to Level 1 offers you a natural increase in challenge. By combining management of permitted movements, order of platforms to activate, key collection and trap evasion, you build your own way to tame the temples and optimize each attempt. Have fun!
