Rocketcar Cup first asks you to understand a simple rule, score more goals than the other team, then to master a sequence of actions that makes every exchange much subtler than it appears. You control a car capable of quickly boosting, jumping, doing flips and playing the ball in the air, which turns every duel into a problem of positioning and timing. If you simply follow the ball, you risk being overtaken or leaving your goal open. You must therefore decide when to contest directly, when to fall back to protect your side and when to use an acceleration to gain the advantage on the trajectory. The game remains easy to understand, but execution requires anticipation, especially against opponents who know how to chain actions. Then variety comes from situations created by the match tempo, because a one-on-one face-off does not play like a team match. In a duel, the slightest mistake is paid for immediately, whereas in a team you must also take into account the movement of other cars and the space available. Some sequences get stuck when the ball floats in the middle of the field with no clear angle, when your momentum carries you too far, or when you arrive too late to counter an attack. You must then choose between a risky intervention, a powerful clear to relieve pressure, or a cleaner build-up of an offense.
