Pool Duel is built on a clear structure: first you enter a pool match applying the classic rules of the 8, then you must clear all the balls assigned to you before aiming for the final black. Reading the table is essential, because a single isolated successful shot is not enough; you must also decide which ball to attack to keep a useful position for the next turn. If you choose an angle that is too ambitious you risk losing the turn and leaving a favorable table to your opponent. If on the contrary you play thoughtfully you can open simpler trajectories and gradually control the duel. The controls remain very fluid in feel, which emphasizes precision of placement and the shot's power rather than rule complexity. Then each game asks you to contend with several forms of failure: a time limit of thirty seconds per shot, an obstructing ball that blocks the targeted pocket, or a poor cue ball position that compromises your whole plan. You alternate between execution and anticipation, seeking to score more efficiently than your opponent over the course of the match. The rewards you earn serve to unlock new cues as well as different table skins, which adds visible progression without distracting the game from its core, the tactical duel. As the experience is designed to continue without a defined end, variety comes from ball configurations, mistakes to avoid and decisions to take each turn.
