Otu
Otu is a survival game where you rotate a triangle along a circular orbit around a central platform, with the sole objective of touching no obstacle under penalty of immediate game over. First, you learn to read the threats: spheres arrive from the edges of the screen, bars try to compress you against the center, and rotating lasers impose perpetual motion. Then complexity sets in, because every ten seconds a random penalty changes the rules of the game, whether it is a screen shake, an inversion of directions, pixelated vision or a change of orbit. The player must then quickly decide how to adapt their trajectory to these new conditions, without ever stopping. Otherwise, a single obstacle is enough to end everything. Progression relies on survival time, which generates coins accumulated across runs and spendable in the shop to customize the appearance of your triangle. Each attempt is different, and it is precisely this variety of situations that pushes you to restart a game again and again, trying to beat your own record and better anticipate the next penalties.
