Lost Things - Hidden Objects is based on a clear rule: you must find hidden objects in large illustrated scenes by carefully observing every part of the environment. First, you scan a map that is very rich in details and identify the requested elements one by one. Then, each recovered object brings you closer to unlocking new portions of the area, because access to other sections depends on a certain number of discoveries. The game does not try to make you fail by speed, since no timer forces a pace. You therefore mainly have to decide how to examine the image, either by methodically sweeping the whole, or by focusing on spots whose shapes or colors seem to hide something. This freedom makes progression flexible, but it requires rigor, because it is easy to miss a small detail amid a very rich environment. Otherwise, when your search does not advance, you must choose between continuing to inspect the scene yourself or using the available hint to unblock the situation. This help points precisely to the location of the sought object and prevents you from remaining stuck too long on the same image. The core of the game then comes from your observation decisions, from your way of organizing the search and from your ability to recognize elements already checked to gain in efficiency. A game can last a long time, because the maps are vast, filled with hundreds of cleverly integrated objects, and each new area renews attention with other visual compositions. The interest arises from this alternation between meticulous spotting, hesitation, progressive validation and regular satisfaction when a scene finally yields to your exploration logic. Have fun!
