Hexa Stack
Hexa Stack asks you to organize a board with hexagonal tiles of several colors in order to form groups large enough to make them merge and disappear. First, you place each tile where it seems most useful. Then you try to concentrate identical colors without cluttering other areas, because defeat comes if the board fills completely. The core of the game is based on a simple-to-understand but demanding balance in practice, as you must both prepare future clears and keep spaces available to absorb new pieces. Some levels add new small puzzle traps, which force you to rethink your habits and adapt your method rather than repeat the same routine. Your choices become especially interesting when several solutions seem good. Should you complete immediately a set that is close to merging, or rather spread your placements to avoid locking yourself in later? If you make a mistake, you can use aids to regain control. The swap booster allows you to swap elements to restore a more logical combination, while the shuffle redistributes the layout to restart a poorly engaged situation. Otherwise, you risk keeping too many incomplete stacks, which reduces your options until a blockage. The variety comes from the order of the tiles, the combo possibilities, recoverable or unrecoverable mistakes, and the fact that each level asks for slightly different reasoning. Have fun!
