Gliding over Dunes is an arcade game in which you guide a ball through an endless succession of sandy dunes, aiming to travel the greatest distance possible without ever crashing. All the game logic rests on three fundamental actions that you constantly combine: accelerate the ball on the ground, release it so that it takes off, then make it dive while it is in the air. The real challenge is deciding the precise moment you let go: too early and the ball does not gain enough height, too late and you miss the ideal window for a profitable takeoff. While airborne, the decision to dive or let the ball fall freely radically changes the angle of landing. Landing on a downward slope lets you maintain your momentum, whereas a too vertical fall onto a crest ends the game instantly. The dunes vary in shape and spacing, which means that no situation repeats identically and you must constantly reassess your strategy. Each decision is therefore a quick risk assessment: aim higher for a better score or play it safe to last longer. The game's apparent simplicity hides a real progression curve, and each new attempt brings you closer to finer mastery of the trajectories. Have fun!
