Progression adds a useful objective to your casts: collect all the letters in CHANCE to increase your odds of encountering a rare fish. This collection encourages you not to focus solely on the immediate catch, since an accessible letter can also improve your prospects later on. You can choose to pursue a target that is already well positioned or correct your course to collect a letter from CHANCE. Otherwise, you risk leaving the sequence incomplete and keeping less favorable odds.
