Cat vs Granny - Cat Simulator first asks you to complete a series of tasks in the house, then to take every opportunity to annoy Granny by manipulating the environment. The principle is based on actions that are simple to understand: you explore the rooms, pick up certain objects, interact with your surroundings and trigger disorder to raise the tension. It is not enough to break things at random, because the goal is to validate the expected actions while progressing through the dwelling. Depending on the situation, you must choose between continuing to search an area, moving an object to another place, or provoking new chaos to see how the scene evolves. If you merely wander without method, you risk mostly wasting time and missing what needs to be done. Variety comes from the number of interactive objects spread around the house and the way each sequence can become more complicated. At times you must take something and then put it back in the right place to unlock the next step, otherwise your progression stalls. At other times, throwing an object causes a new reaction or creates more spectacular disorder in an already visited room. The game thus relies on the sequence of exploration, interaction and observation of consequences. The first person view reinforces the reading of the space, because you must judge where to go, what to use and when to move on to the next prank. Between searching for objectives, obstacles linked to the layout of the place and Granny's changing mood, each session pushes you to adapt your choices until you have completed all the tasks.
