Age of Heroes first asks you to assemble an army capable of protecting your towers while destroying those of the opponent, then to progressively improve your heroes to keep pace with the new eras. The principle is based on a clear sequence: you advance from battle to battle, recruit fighters from different periods, then adjust your strategy according to the resistance encountered. If your offensive lacks impact, enemy defenses hold and progression slows. Otherwise, you open access to a new phase of war, with other units, other constraints and another style of confrontation. The game is therefore not limited to accumulating power, because you must choose when to prioritize defense, when to strengthen a squad and when to rely on a more aggressive attack to take the advantage. Variety comes mainly from the evolution of battlefields and the forces present. After ancient fights, you move to periods where fortified towers appear, then artillery, and later aviation, advanced technology, mechs and even space conflicts. This rise in complexity forces you to revise your priorities, because a team effective in one era is not always sufficient in the next. You must therefore combine different profiles, such as knights, mages or other warriors, to maintain a coherent army against enemy defenses. The game also offers PvP confrontations between teams, which adds another dimension to your choices, since you must think as much about progression as about confrontation against other compositions. Each failure invites you to reorganize your forces, better allocate your resources and start again with a more solid approach. Have fun!
